This is a great location for Edinburgh! I walked so many miles from this hotel. Everything is within walking distance! The check in was smooth. Staff were all courteous. Very responsive to needs, fan and more towels. Our room was quiet, I don't recall hearing any other guests and it was minimal street noise, I think we were on the back side of the hotel. Only "bad" thing was the door shut hard, felt like I was disturbing the whole floor.

Great location but can be noisy! Lovely hotel with really good breakfast selection, very clean but rooms are ‘compact’! But the best is the service from Reception staff. Mo and Larry were incredibly helpful …. printed out my train itinerary despite my inability to ‘find’ on my phone. Great customer service and felt safe and looked after!

I found a second home...

I have been here 3 days. I get one more and I don't want to leave. I'm sitting in the lobby as I write this. It's a wonderful, funky, quirky kinda place and I love it here. The staff is not a fake "Oh sir blah, blah, blah". They are down to earth, genuinely concerned with your needs, but capable enough to know when you need to fly the plane by yourself. The restaurant is perfect for what you need and the food is really good and this place is in the center of the action!!! Not only do I not want to stay anywhere else, I don't want to stay with another hotel group....THAT'S how I've been treated here! Thank you Ibis, thank you Accor and thank you Edinburgh!!!

Excellent location, you simply roll out of bed onto the Royal Mile. We booked this hotel via a Wowcher deal and stayed for 2 nights in March 2024. The rooms are a little on the small side but fine for us as we went out exploring Edinburgh most of the time. Check in very quick and welcoming. There is a bar near the reception where you can buy drinks and also snacks. Breakfast was good you have the option of hot and cold items, the usual scrambled eggs, bacon, beans, sausages etc as well as cereal, yoghurts, fruit and pastries. The hotel is in the old town which in my view is the best location. We visited the castle and new town, all within walking distance. The hotel is approx. 6 -10 min walk from the train session. We would definitely return to this hotel and highly recommend it to our friends.

I stayed at the ibis Hotel Edinburgh right on the Royal Mile and it was the perfect accommodation due to its incredibly central location. The rooms were basic but cozy and comfortable, which was exactly what I needed after a long day of exploring the city. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating; they even allowed us to keep our room for an extra hour after checkout because it was raining and we were feeling cold. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Edinburgh!
